Alternative wedding at Brighton Town Hall + The Spire

Brighton is full of cool + quirky wedding venues, especially when you add a little bit of vision + great taste + awesome style like Emma + James did for their wedding at The Spire. T
he day started with bridal prep at Hotel Du Vin, which is just a few steps away from where the ceremony took place, at Brighton Town Hall.

The Spire in Brighton is a great alternative wedding venue as it is serving now as a big empty space as a decommissioned church. The place looked super cool when these guys incremented a few elements of their personality with DIY decor + created an awesome vibe with fairy lights + long wooden tables and vintage roses.

It was such a special day for me personally, as this was the first ever Brighton wedding I’ve ever shot. I moved to Brighton from London a little over a year ago, and the reason I moved here was because this town is genuinely my favorite place in the world. Most of the weddings I shoot still take place in London but I have relocated my business and entire life to Brighton so I can be closer to the seaside.

Emma + James were my first couple I shot in Brighton, and I got to take them to some of my favorite locations in town for portraits on their wedding day. We shot by the hippodrome, walked around the lanes and later we headed out for some sunset wedding photos at the beach near Brighton Marina. It felt so nostalgic all day and really inspiring to be creating in a place that was so special to them and to me.

Since then, this wedding ended up being featured on Junebug Weddings which is one of the biggest wedding blogs in the world. Check out the full feature + a little interview with the Emma, here!

If you’re looking for a great alternative wedding venue in Brighton check out The Spire. There’s so many ways you can decorate this place which will make it such an unique wedding reception + if you need a hand, get in touch with the talented Bev from QQ Weddings who is a wedding coordinator based in Brighton, who worked with me on this wedding + at many other events at The Spire.
