*Update – This engagement shoot at the Barbican has also been featured at Rock My Wedding – here.

When Ben and Megan first enquired if I could be their wedding photographer via email, Ben randomly asked what was my favourite Star Wars character (erm, R2 obvs).
Really intrigued by that question, I couldn’t wait to get to know more of these weirdos, and last sunday I took them out to the Barbican Centre to shoot their engagement shoot.

I then asked Ben what was Megan’s spirit animal, to which he replied she could be a penguin/unicorn. I also got to know that they are both actual magical creatures, who are getting married in a forest, in a location where STAR WARS was filmed, later this year and I get to shoot them again there, but in much better and formal outfits!
Do I have the best job in the world? yes, yes I do.

Photography is an art. An experienced one may not be able to visualize the scene if he/she is not artistic. On the other hand an artistic photographer without any experience can put a wonderful scene and can capture a beautiful moment.
